Should you wash your hair prior to a chemical service? Yes, it is recommended to come in with clean, dry hair for best results
What is the difference between a single process touchup and a single process color? A single process touchup is color that is applied to hair that has an outgrowth of 1 inch or less. Anything more than an inch of outgrowth is considered a single process color. A single process color is commonly known as an all over color.
What is the difference between balayage and a highlight? These are two different techniques used to create a lighter result than the current level of lightness. Balayage is a freehand painted technique used to create a sun kissed highlight result. A highlight is a lightening service used to create significantly lighter looks than the current level of lightness.
What is a glaze/toner/refresh? A glaze also commonly known as a toner is a service that is typically done when doing any type of lightening service. (balayage, highlights, double process blonde) This service is done to balance any unwanted brassiness that naturally occurs from lightening hair. A glaze can also be done to refresh ends to look richer and shinier after single process touchups.
How often should I cut my hair? For best styling results, it is recommended to get haircuts every 4-6 weeks.
